Kevin Wilson

Overview

Kevin Wilson, PhD, is a Vice President of Data Coordinating Centers for Clinical Research. In this role, he oversees a portfolio of projects and staff and leads business development activities. Previously, he spearheaded 趣赢平台’s data science initiative and organized the Data Science Community of Practice. His scientific and technical background includes epidemiological study design and analysis, clinical research informatics, data integration and harmonization, machine learning, natural language processing, and information technology system development. Wilson has managed and overseen large project transitions for ongoing research networks, implemented and monitored quality standards on clinical trial and epidemiological projects, and developed tools to integrate and operationalize novel data types into research operations.

Wilson’s technical experience includes the implementation of tools to facilitate data integration, the development of data standards, and the harmonization of data. He has developed tools to analyze MR imaging data, to code unstructured text from qualitative interviews, and to develop common data models. His leadership experience includes roles as a principal investigator and project director, senior advisor, and technical lead on projects for NHLBI, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and a range of universities and foundations. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and technical reports and has presented at over 15 prestigious conferences.
